First week in Melbourne We could not have wished for a better apartment or host for our very first week in Melbourne. Gary went above and beyond to make our stay as best as possible from offering to lift us from the train station due to our heavy luggage, to the FAQ document of local tips and hotpots as well as the luxurious, clean apartment with all useful amenities. Location of apartment means trips in and around the city were very easy as close to all types of public transport. The ease of constant communications meant that if we had any questions Gary answered in a timely manner as well as even letting us extend our stay by a few days until we were able to move into our new long term apartment. Could not recommend any higher for your stay in Melbourne.Verified Comfortable, stylish flat with fabulous location. Couldn’t be better. This flat was the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in, & I have stayed in a lot. We were in Melbourne for 5+ months & this became ‘home’. Flat is stylish, clean, spacious for a one bedroom, & has everything you need including tons of storage, so you can tuck those pesky suitcases away. Reasonably priced for the area so close to the city, too. Landlord is friendly & very helpful - responds instantly if there is a problem. And the location is amazing. Toorak Rd & Chapel St are a few minutes walk away, packed with great eateries, shops & food stores. Tram stops to city & the train station are really close by - 5 minutes walk. City is a lovely 45 minutes walk away along the river. Botanic Gardens are just up the road. Couldn’t fault it really!Verified Best place to be at Well what to say we've stayed there for 3 months now. Ours was furnished apartment which included one queen heated bed, bath tub, an sofa cum bed for additional members, Tv, cloth iron, electric stove, microwave, Owen, Dishwasher, room heater/ac , very good free internet connection, common gym, industrial washing machine (AU$ 4 per wash, there's a dryer as well but we never used one) All above are just amenities but they have these plastic plants all the corners they are plastic but make stay pleasurable. All above may be a standard here but the cherry on top is the host Gary Poole(0422502020). Small follow-ups events in city places to visit and his overall hospitality makes it stay very very pleasant. My stay was funded by company so won't be good judge of prizing but everything else hell yah go blind folded. GARY if u read this thanks a ton for everything. My partner and I found the accommodation to be a perfect fit for our needs, it’s a hop skip and jump to the botanical gardens and the South Yarra train station which puts you in the vicinity of anywhere in Melbourne. Brilliant position - close to The Alfred Hospital (our other ‘home’ in Melbourne), and a 5 min walk to Toorak Rd for a tram to the city, and a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes and shops. South Yarra train station is also a 5 minute walk away. The apartment itself is decorated really nicely; quiet (despite facing the road); and perfect for a couple, with everything we need, including a coin-operated laundry on the same floor. Free parking on-site is a bonus. The greatest asset however is the landlord/host, Gary, who cannot do enough to make our stay as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Our experience is that this is one of the best - no the best - one bedroom apartment in a central city area we have ever rented. And we have travelled a lot! Location is superb - close to the city, public transport (trains and trams), to Yarra River and Botanic Gardens (just a short walk away) and to Toorak Rd - one of the trendy shopping & eating precincts in Melbourne. From the US point of view, I question calling the tupperware container a "rice cooker".
